The NEW YEARS EVE ride on the MACY's PINK PIG

The MACY'S PINK PIG a holiday MUST here in Altanta... We had nothing planned for today and Grace and not been to the Pink Pig so off we went tonight... After checking that they where open and what time they closed. Upon arriving at the mall we found that the mall was closing early (I should have know says the former retail manager...What was I thinking?) and the Pink Pig was also... While waiting in the line of cars circling the parking lot I jumped out of the car and ran to the tent... There was a gentleman with his had in the flaps of the tent... "What time do you close???" I asked... He asked me how many children do you have... "One" come ahead he said... So I ran back to the car and got Grace and Scott... Ran back to the tent and rushed inside looking for our benefactor who was restarting the Pig... We where followed in by twin boys about 8 or 9... Who asked "Are you open?" The young man said no but come ahead. One of the boys went to tell his father who brought the sisters and Mom... They where followed in by a Mom with two girls and a father who was smart enough to come in the EXIT... So here we all where riding the PINK PIG for nothing on a night that they where supposed to be closed... The young man let us ride around twice... We got off and thanked him $$$ profusely.. The other families rode around again and when we left two more families where probably treated to an extra special evening of fun by the night security officer.... MEMORIES WHERE MADE TONIGHT!!!

This was Grace's first concert with the choir at church... I was in middle of the church so the video is at full zoom and every move I make causes the shot to move, please forgive me... And this is my first attempt at using Imovie software.

Grace is the only girl not dressed in red... She is wearing pale blue with snowflakes and fur at the hem...

She looks a little lost but I think she had fun...

I crawled into Grace's bed this afternoon and this is what I found:
22 books (all sizes),
13 small stuffed animals,
1 purse/stuffed animal,
1 doll,
9 blankets,
1 pillow and
2 sandals
this was over and above the standard pillow, sheet and blanket...


The books had to go, they are to hard to lay on...

Otherwise we had a great time playing with almost everything....

First Big Boo Boo's

Grace fell and skinned both knees for the first time... When I went to get her to go to bad she said, "Mommy, carry me I have boo boo's with band aids..." She seems to think that when you have band aids your legs no longer work, this has been going on for sometime... She is hilarious after she gets a shot...

Grace has progressed from pre-schooler to teenager over night. "No light on! Light off! .... Back in bed! Back in Bed!"...

Grace is more and more like Ellie Grace every day!

How far into the "why" phase has she gotten? H asked the occassional " why" THEN.....she turned 3! I think that this is the revenge that my mother always talked about. I always swore that I would do my best to answer all of my child's "why's" without the unhelpful "because...just because". Now, I am sorry that I ever thought that! "Why? Why? Why? hmmmm but ... WHY?!"

She hasn't started the why's yet, but I am sure it's coming soon.

Scott, it was like a switch went off on her 3rd birhtday!

Mommy

Prim the switch was turned on last weekend... We are getting more and more complex questions and rebukes: like - No Mommy Daddies eyes are black not brown...or at a stop light when asked what do we do at red lights - Daddy's car does not go...

Someone's wearing big girl panties....

Santa gave Grace some big girl panties for Christmas... and today was the first day she wore them...

We put them on after her nap. I think she was real proud because once I put them on she walked right over to the mirror to admire them.

She did real well for the first few hours. She had her first accident while watching Nemo. Scott and I where in the back and she walked in and said "I am all wet?"

Santa was so smart he brought Grace Elmo panties, he's her favorite character.

We've been reading books and watching video for the past few months. But ever time we went to the store and I showed the panties to Grace and asked her if she wanted any she said "No".
